Beautiful Boracay Island is well known, both locally and internationally, for its fresh and cosmopolitan vibe, and despite retaining a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, this popular destination always manages to remain on trend.
Since the official re-opening in October of last year, a number of exciting new and high-end establishments have opened their doors to the sun-seeking public, and perhaps the most notable of these is Aqua Boracay, fresh on the scene as of this April, 2019.
Located on breezy Bulabog Beach (made famous by kiteboarding and wind surfing enthusiasts from around the globe), this contemporary, elegant and modern resort residence was conceptualized by the UK-based Yoo Design Studio, and is the first of its kind to be designed by Yoo in the Philippines.
The resort boasts 138 luxurious rooms and suites encompassing beautiful views, and featuring artwork and furniture created by renowned Filipino artist Veto Selma. This care and attention to detail is translated throughout the premises. Buildings surrounding the pool area have a “Seven Seas” theme, and are named accordingly, and for the ultimate in luxury, two expansive beachfront suites, each complete with a private indoor pool, complete the scene.
With spacious grounds, lush, tropical gardens fronting the beach, internationally themed dining options, and a stunning oasis-style swimming pool, Aqua has everything your heart desires, for that perfect romantic tryst, family vacation or fun group getaway. Amenities at your disposal include a fitness center with sauna, a salon and spa, and a watersports/activity booking center, so whether you’re here to simply unwind and relax or prefer an action packed vacation, the team at Aqua have you covered.
Aqua’s central location also means that White Beach, D’ Mall and a variety of popular restaurants and entertainment venues are just minutes away, yet the resort itself maintains an atmosphere of privacy, calm and tranquility, in the midst of this lively and vibrant island destination.
Perhaps the most exciting new concept however, is the recent launch of The Day Club at Aqua.
For a consumable fee of just P500 per person, walk-in guests may now enjoy the pool, restaurant and bar facilities at this exclusive beach resort – the first of its kind now offering day club options – and this is an indulgence many tourists may previously have assumed was beyond their reach. A ticket to The Day Club opens the doors to a sublime and luxurious island experience, while still keeping your accommodation budget in check. And it is well worth the splurge to spend an afternoon at Aqua.
Guests can now indulge in tasty and innovative seafood and Spanish-inspired cuisine served courtesy of renowned chef Chele Gonzales, of the famed “Gallery by Chele”.The in-house restaurants, Sea.Food and QTCHN serve up mouthwatering dishes such as lobster nachos (a local favorite), coconut tempura prawns, grilled Angus steak, paella, and a good selection of decadent desserts.. The menu even includes updated versions of beloved Boracay favorites such as the chori burger and calamansi muffin, so there is bound to be something to tempt your taste buds and revive those nostalgic island memories.
Lounge lizards can choose to rent a cabana, table or a poolside sun bed, whilst chilling to smooth sounds, tropical cocktail in hand, courtesy of a live DJ, and special events take place on selected dates, so be sure to follow “Aqua Boracay” on Facebook to stay in the loop. You can even book the space to host your own legendary private pool party.
So, what are you waiting for? Aqua is a short walk from the main White Beach, or hop an e-trike on the main road to get there. The fun starts now!
